With the smell of newly cut grass in our nostrils, runs and wickets on our mind, and a cloying dampness on our cagoules we welcome the start of a new season. The 3B's aim to go one better this season and finish in a promotion spot.
For the season opener we welcome Old Parkonians back to Filkins Lane: a team who always put up a strong fight and stay for a drink afterwards; the perfect combo.
The 3B's put out a strong side, mixing some familiar faces with some newbies. In the spine of the team we have VC Rob Williams, Damon Curtis, Adam Roberts, and the opening pace duo of the Jamie's: Littler and Bonner. We also have the luxury of spin triplets: Hafi Islam looking to take up residency in the wickets column, young Will Fisher looking to establish himself in senior cricket after promising winter nets session, and new member Chris Bell looking to secure a regular berth in the side with his experience and left arm tweaking. Promising youngsters Dan Pond and Sheehan McDonnell make up the 11, with Sheehan eager to prove his mettle behind the stumps.
A strong balanced side to kick off the season.
