CBH 2290, Oulton Park 111. Chester won by 109 runs
Chester, unbeaten in the league since the opening game of the season, continued their unbeaten run with a 109 run win at Oulton Park.
At the half way point of the campaign, they now sit 21 points clear of Alderley Edge on 209 points with Neston slipping to third after defeat to Timperley.
The game wasn't without drama however as Chester inexplicably slipped from 139-1 to 220 all out. Moore himself was first out for 31 and Alex Money continued his great form of late with a fine 66, glueing together the middle order. Jack Williams hit a late 33 to lift the slump. This was perhaps a better score than it looked in the face of some excellent seam bowling from Tom Hyslop and Andrew Dufty who amazingly took all ten wickets between them - Hyslop 6-60 and Dufty 5-51.
Martin East made his intent clear from the off for Oulton Park with a quick fire 21 before being snaffled at backward point by Harry Killoran off Lloyd Aspin.
The innings was always going to have to build itself around the stoic Danny Leech who dropped anchor for 27 but when he was fifth out with the score on 75, the reply faded away. Hyslop capped a fine game with 27 but 'Park eventually folded for 111, Chester winning by 109 runs. Rick Moore took 4-29 and Jack Williams 4-22.
Next week sees a third consecutive away trip as Chester travel to Toft.
