Goodwin was back to his best, his innings including two 6s and eleven 4s. Davis was the pick of the Neston bowlers with 2-63.
The Neston reply misfired from the off as 0-2 soon became 8-4. Only Ian Gill took on the Chester attack as Aspin produced his best spell for Chester to date. Gill made 46 and Matt Stewart 25 as Neston succumbed for 124 to go down by 118 runs.
