Exactly half way through the season and Chester travel local rivals Neston for their fourth away league game in five weeks. This will be the third time the first XI have travelled to Parkgate this season following fixtures in the National KO and Liverpool Echo KO.
On the opening day of the season Lee Dixon and Warren Goodwin put on a league record partnership of 339 in a 220 run win for the first XI. Chester have the luxury of an unchanged side for the fourth game running with Alex Kegg hoping to prolong his Indian summer following 14 wickets in the last three games, he has been ably assisted by Will Owen who picked up 5-30 against Hyde last Saturday.
The Neston side features former Boughton Hall opening bowler Ash Davies as well as the Cheshire duo of Will Evans and David Hurst. The fixture will start at the earlier time of midday with a beer and gin festival at Neston during the day also.
