In fact we are majoring in Pool at the moment as our own team once again went down 2-5 to the very lovely people from the Egerton Inn, Brook St. In fact, all the folks we have met in the Pool Comp have tried to help us, and understand how difficult it is getting a team off the ground.

On Wednesday we hosted a wake for a lovely local family. We do do a nice wake. That night we welcomed the Chester Canal Heritage Trust for their monthly meet. Always different.

Friday night was a surprise 50th birthday party. Hog Roast, a professional musician, friends, family, beer and wine. Great night. Everybody happy.

Although the weather was still rubbish, the football matches went ahead. The 1st team comfortably defeated Mallaby 3-0. Whilst the 2nds, 3rds and 4ths went down. By recent standards Saturday night was quiet.

However, Sunday was a ball, when we hosted Phil Tucker's 40th birthday party. The place was packed with nearly 100 people enjoying the sumptuous Carvery. Lovely atmosphere. Beer, wine, friends, family, rugby, footie. Relaxed, chilled happy folk. Brilliant.

Well done everybody, great, happy day.
