Popular Youth Coach takes charge of senior Cheshire team

Stewart Macleod has coached many a CBH player through the Cheshire ranks over the years.

Lee and Ross Dixon, Warren Goodwin, Harry Killoran, Eddie Roberts, Ollie Law, Jack Williams to name just a few of the 1st XI.

And he's still weaving his magic with the juniors in various county age groups.

For 2015 the popular Nantwich-based Macleod will take over coaching of the senior side.

“It’s great to have Stewart involved at county level”, commented CBH and Cheshire t20 skipper, Lee Dixon. “Many of us know him from our days with Cheshire Youth Cricket. He’s a great coach and a great asset.

"Stewart helped so many CBH lads over the years so I'm thrilled that he's now got this opportunity to be involved with the Cheshire 1st XI".

Stewart is delighted to be joining the County setup. “Having been involved with the Board for so long, I’m really looking forward to seeing how some of the players I coached a while ago, have progressed”, he said.

“We’ve already got great links between our youngsters and senior players and with Danny Woods and Lee Dixon recently visiting the emerging player sessions, we’ve already identified some great talent that’s ready for the next level”.

All at CBH wish Stewart the very best in his new role.
