Groundsman Smith at the helm!

He deservers our whole hearted thanks and he sets a marvellous example to us all.
- Chris Fleet, CBHCC Club Captain

We know how difficult it is to get volunteers to help out around the place - we're all busy.

That merry band of helpers are saviours though, they're people we can't do without. And when the Club groundsman 'downed tools' for a month, we needed to dig deep.

Enter Steve Smith, stage right.

No stranger to football or cricket, our Chester Nomads chairman has put his hand up.

Says CBHCC Club Captain, Chris Fleet, "There are quite a few members who undertake significant voluntary work for our club without ever getting the thanks they deserve. One of these is Steve Smith who over the ladt week has stood in for our groundsman whilst he is on a round the world cruise.

"Steve has been spotted in all weathers, emptying bins ,cleaning around the clubhouse and rolling all the football pitches. He deservers our whole hearted thanks and he sets a marvellous example to us all".

Cheers Steve. Point made... you can go up the order for the Over 40s!
