How we're doing across the Club

14 weeks down and plenty of games to go.

1st XI

Both skippers are still in the hunt for honours.

Ross Dixon's league side are currently top of the table with an eight point lead over Alderley Edge with eight games to go - home to Bramhall, Cheadle, Bowdon and Hyde, away to Nantwich, Timperley, Alderley Edge and Toft.

Will Owen's cup side have reached the semi finals of the Cheshire Cup - a tournament we won four years in a row between 2012 and 2015. After seemingly being on the road in all cup games this year, we finally have a home tie - a semi final at Filkins Lane against New Brighton on Sunday 20 August (1.00pm).

2nd XI

Dan Riley's men are firing on two fronts too.

Second in the league to Neston, the side are currently 18 points behind Neston. As we always say, balancing the requirements of the 1st XI with performing well in your own league is always a challenge so this is testament to Dan and his fellas.

And they've got a juicy T20 Finals Day lined up too on Sunday 6 August at Oulton Park where they play Didsbury and Oulton Park play Alderley Edge. Play starts at 10.00am - we'll remind you nearer the time!

3A XI

Steve Treen's side are holding their nerve in Division B West and sit in third place with 253 points. Port Sunlight 2s are second with 289 and Upton 3s lead the pack with 300.

3B XI

Ian Thistlewood's 'draw specialists' are second in Division C West, 17 points behind Neston and a healthy 18 point game over Maritime 2s.

Over 40s

The Blazers blaze on - joint top with Neston. A reminder that Over 40s Final's Day is at CBH on Sunday 3 September from noon.

Academy

Great progress with youth development the focus - not league status. See Jim Gillson's separate note on these pages.

CBH Ladies doing fine too - separate note to follow!
