Hey presto! The magician's on his travels.

Hello everyone or should I say Bula!

I am writing from you this week from Nadi, Fiji. It is currently around 30 degrees, 95% humidity and I am rocking a natural perm. Fair to say this place is like no where I have been before but to be fair what an amazing experience, this is where I have to thank my Dad for his existence in getting me out here.

So since I last spoke to you, I have played my last game for Albury.

We finished 7th meaning that we do not play finals (only the top 6 qualify). Believe it or not we actually managed to get a win against Tallangatta the former club of Fitzy and Sam Stephens (Hyde CC). I failed to convert another start scoring another 20 odd and picked up the final wicket in what was a tight game, 265 plays 256. Having now completed the season on reflection I have found the format quite frustrating, having only batted four times since December 13th. What must be said is that everyone at Albury have been great the last couple of weeks and I have been to more people's houses for dinner or lunch then I would care to guess. It would be good to think that in the future there will be potentially other players going out to play either at the club or in the comp. The opening bowler from our team is coming over to the UK to represent Caldy in the Liverpool Competition so you will no doubt get to catch up with him over the summer at some point.

The last couple of weeks have been quite chilled. I've been doing a fair bit of coaching, however my Under 12B team finished with the wooden spoon after failing to win a game. As I am sure Phil will testify though they are a spirited bunch and I have enjoyed coaching them over the summer, they got me a few gifts which will be making their way back to the UK in my suitcase. The end of the season was quite with the few days following the conclusion of the season seeming like a bit of a blur. My skipper Kade Brown was the competitions best and fairest following his third hundred in the final round. On Tuesday I made to the trip to Fiji via Melboure, I have a couple of rather exciting weeks ahead of me. On Sunday I will be travelling across the Yasawa islands for nine days, thanks to the Hedgecoes for their advice on the matter. Next time I speak to you I will be in the country of Vanuatu, the chance to visit such a different country will be amazing. The last few days have been quite cultured for me with the afternoon storms providing the opportunity to read a few books and listen to the BBC world service, however hopefully I will be snorkelling, hiking and socialising on top of this shortly.

I bring good news on my impending return, we hope to be running a couple of coaching course on the weeks commencing the 6th and 13th April. The leaflets for these will be out in the next couple of the days and it is more the merrier so please endeavour to pass the message on to friends of the club. I am also on the hunt for any opportunities on the week front over the Summer before the coaching courses start to fire up, so don't be shy if you know of any
opportunities even if they're just casual any assistance will be much appreciated.

I want to take the chance to wish Ollie Law all the best in the remaining few weeks of the season in Tasmania. I look forward to returning and catching up with you at the workforce day on April 11th if not before then.

Vinaka.
