National KO win sets up Northern territory

CBH rounded off a good weekend with a home win in the National KO Trophy over Liverpool Competition side, Rainford.

Batting first, the visitors mustered 182 with Jack Williams taking 3-23 and two wickets apiece for Will Owen, Harry Killoran and Rick Moore.

Chester chased the total down with seven overs to spare, Alex Money top scoring with 67, Rick Moore making 56 and Andy Metcalf unbeaten on 26.

"A good win to cap a good weekend," said skipper Owen, who can now look forward to another home tie, with Northern on 13 May (tbc).
