Time with the Anderson family on the Gold Coast was lovely and relaxed. Had a wonderful few hours on a cattle farm in Nimbin. Farmer Ron and 'Pop' have worked the land for 60 years. Great hosts in the most spectacular countryside. Nimbin is famous in Australia as a magnet for the hippy community. Dungarees, hemp and ponytails, yet they can see a tourist coming, £20 for a T shirt. The Andersons were warm and generous hosts. Adie is still looking for a teaching job and it will be the key to them settling in the country. Good luck old boy.

Had planned to bus/train down the country but was getting complicated due to the distances involved. So flew down to Ross's at Albury. Brilliantly Ross picked me up from the airport. Tough backpacking! The next day was the second match on my itinerary. Surely it would be better than the first that finished at 2•10. It wasn't. 146 in 77 overs. At least Ross got more than Josh , 3. The lads, lifelong friends from Upton, Ross, Tom and James are having a ball. They are loving it. Albury is not the usual home for touring English folks. The people here are so appreciative of the lads coming to Albury. The lads are giving plenty back to the junior set up. They have a wonderful " Aussie Mum and Dad" that will look after them if need be. Life is good for the lads. Saturday was James's 23rd birthday and Ross organised a surprise pub crawl. Obviously ended in carnage.

Nice , chilled day out with Ross in Bright and Beechworth, ski ing , wine, brewing and Ned Kelly area. Young Dixon is doing fine.

Later today will move on to Melbourne to meet up with my nephew whose team haven't won a game yet. The cricket side isn't going well. Everything else is.

It all goes on in the world.

See you soon.

Mr. T.
