You can't keep a good man down...

Week started in difficult circumstances as we hosted a funeral party. The families celebrated the life of Sheila Brown. Sheila was only 54 and was a victim to cancer. Another reminder to us all that life isn't always fair and that we should enjoy it while we can. There was a buzz all afternoon and night. I kept hearing how she would have enjoyed the occasion as friends and family swapped stories.
The family was most appreciative of our efforts and it is pleasing to know that if at all possible we can help in some small way.

Seemed to be a great week for the Weightwatchers who seemed to have lost loads of weight. Keep up the good work Janet.

We didn't have a function on Friday , so Linda K, Nia Williams and Barbara Dunbavand took advantage with a couple of bottles of Prosecco, before they went off Clubbing, as you do, apparently.

The next day brought the unusual combination of 1st and 2nd team home matches. It's fair to say it didn't bring a flowing festival of free flowing football. One disputed goal and 4 sendings off between the two matches. The good news was that it was the first team that scored the goal to gain a crucial victory to ease worries. The lads really did need this win. Keep going lads.

Sunday was once again wonderfully successful. 45 folks enjoyed the spectacular carvery, Liverpool v Man City, Ireland v England and Chelski v Spurs. What a brilliant afternoon.

Let me tell you now, that bookings for Mothers Day in 2 weeks time are going very, very well. You will need to book sooner rather than later.

It's all going on at The Club.

See you soon.
