Nantwich 185 (39.1 overs), CBH 180-9 (40 overs). Match drawn.

Harry Killoran led a dramatic Chester fightback as Chester fell just five runs short and had to settle for a draw in their home game with Nantwich.

In a match reduced to 40 overs a side due to rain, the Dabbers stop/start innings included a fine 77 from Luke Robinson and 31 from Ryan Brown. Jack Williams took 3-38 while there were two wickets apiece for Harry Killoran (2-33) and and Alex Money (2-32).

Ollie Freckingham (3-38) and Jimmy Warrington (1-31) proved a real handful as Chester started their reply, the quick duo producing fine opening spells to account for Warren Goodwin and Ollie Law.

The middle order wobbled as Chester found themselves on 84-6 before the in-form Killoran (83) got to work.

Gradually, with the support of Williams (34), the youngster edged his side towards the target before sacrificing himself in the chase when and Chester eventually closing on 180-9 to secure a draw.
