Five for Ross in Cheshire Cup win

Chester marched into round three of the Cheshire Cup with a convincing win over Grappenhall.

Winning the toss and batting, Grapp limped to 100-8 before recovering to post a respectable 155. Albert Pennington top scored with 34, James McCoy 23.

Ross Dixon was the Chester hero with a fine 5-30, Will Owen 2-24.

Alex Money led the Chester reply with 49, Harry Killoran adding 25, Warren Goodwin 24 as Chester reached their target with 13 overs to spare.

Chester will travel to Didsbury in round three next month.
