Work starting to enclose playing area

The changing face of CBH continues as work starts this week to fully enclose the cricket playing area.

The striking white picket fencing that's currently around two thirds of the ground and has been such a success since first installed four years ago, will now fully enclose the ground.

The cost to complete the structure is being funded by donations and a number of events at CBH including new Saturday night draws for the forthcoming season and a programme of student ground hire.

Andy Holt, Regional Account Manager for Vinyl Solutions (pictured with Alex Kegg) has been involved in the project since the off and brings bags of experience from working at various cricket grounds around the country including Worcester and the Oval.

The new fencing will curve up from the 'bottom' of the field running up to the Clubhouse. It will be a temporary structure meaning it can be removed at the end of the season to restore the football pitch.
