Alex Kegg rolled back the years to take 5-33 from 17 overs as Chester recorded their first away of the season at Cheadle.
After a difficult week for the Club which saw two mid week T20 losses, Ross Dixon's side secured second place in the league table with a five wicket win on a difficult pitch.
Dixon asked the home side to bat first and opening the bowling with Kegg and Jack Williams, wickets fell regularly. Only Elliot Bullock tamed attack, top scoring with 38. Kegg's 5-33 was supported by 3-22 from Harry Killoran and 2-52 for Jack Williams.
The reply wasn't plain sailing. However Ollie Law batted confidently to top score with 35, Will Owen was unbeaten on 26 and Alex Money made 24 as Chester finished on 113-5 to win by five wickets.
Next week Chester are at home to Toft.
