Weekly PT ramble.

Busy! All the time.

Monday, Junior cricket, plus 40/50 in to watch England draw with Slovakia.

Tuesday was expecting Mitchell Charlesworth plus curry, got 2 completely different matches, plus ladies practice.

Wednesday was a great night. Bridge Inn v Alvanley outside. Should be noted that the Alvanley lads left the changing rooms spotless. Thank you chaps. Inside, we had the first of the Boughton Belles Netball
Presentations. 80 young ladies celebrating their season with fantastic food and gallons of Slushies!

Diminished Weightwatchers on Thursday morning. The evening brought an excellent game of cricket in the Echo, with our local rivals from Neston. Great to catch up with a few old faces, including Dave Collyer and the redoubtable Arthur Pritchard. So much more than a sport. Friends across the world in an idyllic spot in Chester.

Junior Cricket returned in large numbers the following day.
Whilst on Saturday the weather improved and we were treated to some spectacular batting on the front pitch. Not many people will hit the ball over the sycamore outside the Clubhouse. Bramhall's Iftikar managed this feat, making people sat watching the 3rd team game wonder where the ball had come from. Bramhall's total of 257 was made to look insignificant by the splendid Warren Goodwin and Pool squad player Rick Moore, as they both completed magnificent centuries.

On the back the 3rds enjoyed a great game with our good friends from Upton. Jamie Littler and Ben Harvey seeing us through a match that at one point seemed lost.

The 2nds gained a hard fought draw at Tattenhall, whilst the 4ths batting failed at Westminster Park.

This all added up to a really warm and packed night in The Club. Great atmosphere all night. Well done everyone.

Unfortunately the Academy game was washed out on Sunday, but not before George Metcalf became our third centurion of the weekend on the front pitch, in another great partnership with Tom Wyatt. Brilliant stuff. Meanwhile, we return to the now traditional Sunday Carvery. All chilled. All good.

It all goes on at The Club.
