Chester made it three from three with a hugely entertaining win at Oulton Park.

Chasing down 328, Chester got home in the last over after a stunning run chase which saw another hundred for Jamie Crawley (124), 64 from Warren Goodwin and a flamboyant 60 from Lee Dixon.

Earlier 'Park’s Danny Leech had changed a pedestrian home innings into something special as he compiled a fine 154.

It was an intriguing game as Oulton Park struggled early on with no sign of things to come. But the arrival of Tom Hyslop to support Leech signalled a change in intentions as the pair took on the spinners and amassed 134 for the third wicket. Hyslop (66) and Matt Jamieson were savage on the Chester attack on a day made for batsman.

Chester's reply saw a patient Rick Moore make 46 as he and Goodwin shared an opening stand of 96. And when Crawley came in, the innings really began to gain momentum. The youngster's outstanding knock was composed and varied as he masterminded the chase, switching pace as required.

And with Dixon in belligerent form, Chester closed in.

But although the runs were flowing, 'Park kept up the pressure. With Crawley's departure it was then left to a cool headed Jack Williams to steer his side over the line.

Chester moved up to third place in the table with the win and host Alderley Edge next Saturday.
