Scorecard

Chester continued their impressive run in the league with a fine 110 run win over Cheadle.

And with Alderley Edge dropping points in a tied game with Neston, Rick Moore's side increased their lead at the top of the ECB Cheshire Premier League to 30 points.

Batting first, Moore and Warren Goodwin moved quickly to take the score to 124 before Goodwin was stumped for 62. Moore's great form continued as he made 94, aided by Alex Money (43) , Lee Dixon (33) and Jack Williams (21*). Will Holmes took 3-66

However, once the Cheadle spinners entered the fold, scoring became tougher and on a turning wicket, Chester had to settle for 262-7.

With the Chester spin trio licking their lips, it was actually quickie George McCormick who struck early in the Cheadle reply, grabbing 2-20. Subhaan Mahmood dug in for a resilient 49 but then Williams (3-44) and Harry Killoran (3-55) took over and despite stubborn resistance from the tale, Charlie Fleet grabbed the last wicket to dismiss the visitors for 152.

Chester travel to Nantwich next weekend.
