CBH 245-8 (55 overs), Bowdon 185 (41.3). Chester won by 60 runs
Chester chalked up their first victory of the season with a 60 run win against Bowdon at Filkins Lane.
Having been asked to bat and then reduced to 7-2 with Warren Goodwin (5) and Alex Money (1) removed cheaply, skipper Lee Dixon (28) and Rick Moore (34) added 63 for the third wicket.
But against the nagging accuracy of Chris Ashling (4-67) and Lancashire coach Glen Chapple (2-24), Chester soon found themselves in trouble again at 94-5 with Moore and Law (10) going in quick succession.
This time the recovery was led by the two new Winter recruits as Will Owen masterminded a solid 76 and Nick James 57.
And Dixon could be pleased with his side's closing 245-8.
The Bowdon reply however went off like a train with 50 added in no time. Going along at 8 runs plus an over, taking the pace off the ball and introducing spin proved a masterstroke as young off spinner Harry Killoran turned the game on its head.
Killoran took 5-10 in a devastating spell and came back to mop up the tail and finish with 6-41 after Pat Ashling had made 46 and Matt Tully an unbeaten 56.
Bowdon were all out for 185 giving Hall maximum points from a 60 run win.
Next week Dixon's side head to Macclesfield
