CBH need your help in 2017

Running a cricket club is a costly and time-consuming business.

Looking after 11.5 acres outside and ensuring our players and supporters enjoy the top facilities we've created, comes at a cost.

Yes, we have full time ground staff and caterers, but beyond that, we rely on a small, dedicated group of volunteers.

People like Derek Joinson, who spent so much time over the last couple of years helping Alex Kegg on the ground. Steve Smith, veteran Nomads Chairman, looking after the ground while Alex is away. President Brian Gresty who for years has helped ensure the surrounds look better and better. And there are of course many others who give us their time, purely for the love of Chester Boughton Hall CC and Chester Nomads AFC - including an army of coaches and managers. We couldn't survive without them.

So do you have some time to help us?

We're particularly looking for support around the ground. As regular or irregular as you like. Just do what you can, when you can.

This time of year there's a huge amount of work required leading up to the start of a cricket season. Hours helping roll the square for example, maybe strimming around the ground perimeter, a spot of 'gardening' or painting.
