All you need to know about joining CBH in 2017..

CBH have extended the deadline for paying membership fees until 28 May. Details below.

Membership fees stay the same this season, for the third season in a row. A reminder of the different fees is below.

The deadline for payment this season is Wednesday 28th May for senior players and 31st May for junior players. Players who have not paid in full by these dates will become unavailable for selection until they have paid. There is no strict deadline for social members but payment by end of May would be appreciated.

A thank you in advance to all players and social members for paying on time – membership fees are one of the key financial contributors to keeping the club running and in good nick.

Once you have paid your membership fee please pick up a copy of the season handbook from behind the bar. The club no longer operates a card system for members.

How to pay your 2017 membership fee

Paying by online transfer (BACS) is the preferred and by far the simplest method to pay your membership fee. It cuts out significant administration effort and is more secure.

CBHCC account details:

  • Sort code: 60 40 08
  • Account number: 33100942

In the payment reference field please use the following format: SubsSurnameForename. For example, SubsDixonRoss.

If you don’t bank online we can accept cheques. Please make cheques payable to ‘Boughton Hall Cricket Club’, and send them to: Phill Evans, Chester Boughton Hall Cricket Club, Filkins Lane, Chester, CH3 5EJ

Cash is not accepted with the exception of the £10 membership fee for junior school years 1 and 2, and ad hoc social membership payments left behind the bar.

Frequently asked questions

*University students who do not intend to play until term ends can pay on their return from university – i.e. when they become available to start playing. If however you intend to play during term time then the 10th May deadline applies.
**What if I play over 40s and also in another senior side? You pay the highest of the two categories, but you don’t have to pay both. If however you only play over 40 cricket you only pay £50.
***Associate membership is available on an exceptional basis to part-time occasional players who will not play all games due to selection or availability. The cut off point for eligibility is playing half the games in a season – i.e. if an associate member plays (or expects to play) in more than half of the games during the season then they are expected to play full membership fees.

Match fees are separate to membership fees. There will be a match fee of £5 per player for each senior match (£3 for 20 over matches). The fee for junior matches is £2 per player. These fees are in addition to tea money, which is payable by all players. For example: Saturday senior players pay £5 levy + £5 tea money = £10.

If you are struggling to pay your membership fee please speak to any club official so we can together agree a suitable solution. The purpose of membership fees is to support the club financially, not to exclude potential members who want to play cricket.
